Hush Now

Blood Moon by Ellen Marie, oil painting on linnen, 75x75 cm

Where the hearts of children gleams,
The will-o’-the-wisps dance
Into the dark kingdom of sorrow,
She’ll lead thee,
The mistress with a crown made of lead.

Her hands stroking,
With iron on her fingertips
She’ll lead thee,
Into the Mist.

Your weary head rests,
On her tender lap
A tune she sang, made your eyes whirl,
Songs of the death realms.

The Witch Queen,
Oh,
The fair She-Moon
Take thee away,
Into the darken skies.

From the shadows of life,
Into the hereafter
As above so below,
Take thee away.

Enchantress of evil,
A harbinger of the good
Take thee away,
Into the dazzling faraway.
