Ealven hearts are made of no flesh and blood, but crystals and stones. For each clan is responsible of different fractures of nature there lives Ealven with hearts of iron, mountain crystals or even gold.
Hunted, chased and brutally hounded by human nobles, an Ealf lost outside Suulringen is the perfect prey and the promise of redemption.
Once the Ealf is slayed, its hearts is harvested from the middle of the chest and carefully placed within leaves from Suulringen trees.
A creature possessing a heart of an Ealf deploys power and wealth everlasting. Once the stone, crystal or metal heart is obtained the person who possesses it will be bound to the heart itself and the birth of a connection this kind can distort the rules of nature itself.
The person will be no longer able to leave the heart and move too far away within a physical sphere and is ought to carry the heavy burden along.
The tiring relationship will thereafter sit wearily in the mind of the murderer and will result in early aging.
A person slaying and Ealf to obtain his heart will meet his doom sooner than nature would dictate as a result of violating the ancient principles of the universe.

“The Ealven are immune to all disease known to mankind. They breed, reproduce and consume food just like all other races but their fundamental skeleton consist of different particles. These molecules repel all what is known to be destructive or contagious. Only one thing can kill and Ealf apart from a piercing blade or magic, and that is, a Broken Heart.
For the stone or metal based organ that pulsates within the chest gets cracked the damage can not be healed for there is no thread that can stitch stone together.

If an Ealf suffers from a Broken Heart they shall prepare to meet their irreversible doom. When the material splits the crack will eventually divide the heart into pieces. When that happens and the fragments can no longer touch each other the Ealven heart scatters. There is no cure nor magic avowed in the world to cure a Broken Heart.

On desperate occasions there were attempts to remove the fractured heart in order to place it in a pit and forge it in fire but when the heart was withdrawn, life left the Ealf at once.

Thus the way of the Ealven people teaches to rely less on emotion but rather find patronage in instincts.”
